Wixom Celebrates the Grand Opening of Bricks & Minifigs Novi, A Haven for Lego Enthusiasts

Wixom Welcomes Bricks & Minifigs Novi: A Dream Destination for Lego Lovers of All Ages

If you’re a fan of Lego, or even just curious about the colorful world of those iconic plastic bricks, then you’ll want to check out Bricks & Minifigs Novi. This delightful new toy store opened its doors on September 21 and is already making waves in Wixom. Located at 49881 Grand River Ave. in the Grand River Square shopping center, this place is not just for kids—any Lego enthusiast, be they 2 or 72, is welcome!

A Warm Welcome from the Owners

Sean Krabach, who co-owns the franchise alongside his partner Cara Suksi, knows firsthand how Lego transcends generations. “Lego is an ageless toy that appeals not only to children, but also to parents, grandparents, and anyone who enjoys creative expression through those little plastic bricks,” Sean shared. His excitement is palpable as he describes the unique experience their store offers.

Even before the grand opening, they had the pleasure of welcoming customers like a Vietnam veteran who walked out with a fully assembled Lego Ferrari, already planning to return for more unassembled kits. Talk about a solid start!

Discovering a Treasure Trove of Lego

When you step into Bricks & Minifigs Novi, you’re entering a wonderland spread across an impressive 3,000-square-foot space. Imagine thousands of Lego bricks and minifigures displayed in cases, bulk bins, and lining the shelves. The store primarily focuses on buying and selling previously enjoyed Legos, making it a treasure trove for anyone looking for something special.

Customers can trade in their old Lego sets without the hassle of selling them online. Plus, they can discover retired sets or buy specific bulk pieces and minifigures to match their unique builds. The prices cater to every budget—from just $3 for some of the minifigures to several hundred dollars for those ultra-rare sets. Imagine strolling through the aisles and stumbling across that set you coveted as a child but never managed to get your hands on—it’s like a walk down memory lane!

Connecting with the Community

Sean’s partner, Cara, is also excited about being part of the Wixom community. The duo hopes to foster connections with local schools and businesses, organizing events where kids and adults alike can come together for Lego parties. Their family-oriented approach, including a dedicated team that features Cara’s mom, Cathy Drapeau, and nine part-time employees, ensures that there’s always someone knowledgeable on hand to assist customers.

Grand Opening Celebration

The grand opening celebration on September 21 starts bright and early at 10 a.m.. The first 300 guests will receive a custom minifigure torso that they can use to build their own personalized minifigure—for free! There will also be special appearances by Star Wars characters and additional giveaways to keep the excitement going.

Your New Favorite Spot for Lego

Bricks & Minifigs Novi is ready to welcome you every Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays. Whether you’re looking for a nostalgic set or something fresh to spark your creativity, this store is sure to become your go-to destination. So gather up those old Lego bricks you’ve got lying around and head over—there’s a whole world of building possibilities waiting just for you!
