Important Discussion on Radioactive Waste Disposal Slated for Wednesday in Wayne County
It’s big news in Wayne County, Michigan. We’ve learned that a pivotal meeting is planned this Wednesday. The topic? The disposal of radioactive waste at the Wayne Disposal Facility located in Van Buren Township.

Each week, about 25 semi-truck loads of radioactive waste are transported into the area. Two key stakeholders, a local Congresswoman and the Wayne County Executive, are expected to be present at the meeting.
