As word spreads about this spectacular holiday experience, it’s important to note that the response has been overwhelming! Visitors are encouraged to prepare for longer wait times on weekends. But don’t let that deter your festive spirit! The sights and sounds await you, and once you’re in, it’s all about creating memories.
Ready to make your way to the Lightfest? The address is 7651 N. Merriman Road, located just 2.5 miles south of Interstate 96. However, keep in mind that due to ongoing bridge work, access is only available north of the Merriman Road Bridge. It’s a small detour for an amazing experience!
Wayne County has made it easy for visitors to stay in the loop with live updates! Simply tune into AM 1640 within three to five miles of the Lightfest entrance, and you’ll receive important information about wait times, traffic flow, and any special events happening throughout your visit. This way, you can plan your trip accordingly and enjoy the festivities without a hitch!
As the Lightfest prepares for guests, Hines Drive is set to close to traffic for setup and operations from 5:00 PM to 11:30 PM along the stretch from Ann Arbor Trail to Outer Drive. Make sure to plan your travel accordingly!
Now, let’s talk in detail about tickets! You can purchase vehicle fees on-site in cash, but if you’re the organized type, consider pre-purchasing tickets for your friends or family. Tickets are available at the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center located at 33175 Ann Arbor Trail in Westland from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. They have a walk-up window open since November 22, which means you can snag your tickets in advance!
