Join the Holiday Spirit in Birmingham by Donating to Toys for Tots!
As the bells of the holiday season start to ring in Birmingham, excitement fills the air, and our community spirit shines brighter than ever! This year, the Birmingham Fire Department is stepping up to help make the holidays a little sweeter for local children in need through its annual Toys for Tots Foundation toy drive.
How You Can Help
From now until December 20, you can drop off new, unwrapped toys at several easily accessible locations in Birmingham. Donating is super simple! Just swing by any of the following spots and place your toy in the collection boxes:
- Fire Station 1: 572 S. Adams Road (between Hazel and Bowers streets)
- Fire Station 2: 1600 W. Maple Road (between Fairfax and Chesterfield streets)
- Baldwin Public Library: 300 W. Merrill Street
- Birmingham City Hall: 151 Martin Street
The toys collected will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation, a wonderful initiative that has been making a difference for nearly 25 years. Its mission? To bring a smile and a little joy to economically disadvantaged children during the festive season.

Assistant Fire Chief Matthew Bartalino expressed his gratitude for the Birmingham community, stating, “The generosity of the Birmingham community never ceases to amaze me this time of year. Through their abundant donations, we’re able to provide an impressive shipment of new toys to Toys for Tots.
