This special occasion will take place on July 13th, 2024, starting at 7:15 PM and finishing around 9:30 PM.
Teen Mewvie Night is tailored to teens aged between 12 and 17 years old, offering a blend of cinematic experience and interactive session with adorable, adoptable pets. While the movie selection yet to be announced, the thrill is all about the unpredictability over which flick will light up the big screen.
The event will not only provide a platform to enjoy a gripping story but also to interact with friendly, fluff-filled stars of the shelter – the adoptable cats. Organised in the relaxing ambiance of Tiny Lions located at 5245 Jackson Rd., Ste A, the cinematic event features a safe, comfortable space for adolescents to unwind, build empathy, and potentially meet potential new furry family members.
Complimentary pop and popcorn will accompany the viewing, reinforcing the classic movie-going experience. Attendees have the privilege of bringing along additional snacks of their liking. Coziness is amplified with the provision to carry sleeping bags and pillows, should they desire more comfort throughout the film.
Scheduled to begin at 7:15 PM with doors opening at 7 PM, the friendly term for the evening would be BYOC – bring your own comfort. The cost per participant is $25, with pre-registration required through the Humane Society of Huron Valley’s dedicated event platform. Interested parties can register at hshv.org/event-calendar, or enquire at humaneed@hshv.org, or by phone at (734) 661–3564.
It is worth noting that subsequent to the ‘Teen Mewvie Night’, several activities and events are in line for the teens across Ann Arbor, like ‘Ann Arbor Group Runs’ and ‘Meditation Drop-In’ among others, keeping them engaged and stimulated throughout their summer break.
By presenting a pleasant and wholesome opportunity like the Teen Mewvie Night event, the Humane Society of Huron Valley aims to raise awareness regarding the importance of animal adoption among the younger generation.
This distinctive event fuses entertainment, education, and compassion in a single evening, promoting a sense of community and tenderness towards animals. Indeed, it’s an effort to foster a culture of empathy, and kindness towards all sentient beings while ensuring the youth have a memorable and entertaining experience.
