In the lovely city of Novi, Michigan, food lovers are gathering for a feast like no other. The third year of the scrumptious and vibrant Novi Taco Fest has commenced this weekend, attracting thousands of food enthusiasts from all around.
The delicious food festival started off on Friday at the exciting location of Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk – which is conveniently located just across from the bustling Twelve Oaks Mall.
The organizers have put together an exciting line-up of food offerings. Among the crowd of approximately 25,000 people, you can expect to find about 35 taco trucks, as well as a variety of other food and retail vendors.
But it’s not just about the food at this fantastic taco fest. Attendees can engage in some friendly competition with riveting events like taco-eating contests, hot pepper-eating contests, and even adorable dog contests.
The festival seems to be a hit among locals. For example, some participants found themselves returning to the festival not only for the love of tacos but also for the unique African-Caribbean dishes. Whereas others found themselves engaging in friendly competition, such as a hot pepper eating contest, using the simple strategy of ‘eating fast and swallowing as quickly as possible’.
The Novi Taco Fest is a creation of the Art As Healing Foundation, and it all started as an art fair three years back. Over the years, the fest has evolved and is now eagerly anticipated as an annual event in Novi.
The team behind the Taco Fest expressed that they are incredibly pleased with the response from the locals and are grateful for the support of all the stakeholders. With such a successful event this year, the planning for Taco Fest 2025 is already on the cards, and is set to kick off from January.
So, if you’re a fan of good food, friendly competition, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere, make sure to mark your calendars for the next Novi Taco Fest!
