Cameron’s first big win this summer came when he was crowned the Senior Dancer of the Year at a well-regarded dance competition in Orlando. The achievement is quite significant considering the event’s long-standing prestige and the high caliber of talent it attracts.

Not content with resting on his laurels, Cameron went on to score another victory, this time at the New York City Dance Alliance competition in Phoenix, where he took home the Senior Outstanding Dancer honor. Mum signed us up at a local dance studio because of a deal they had, and while my sister moved on from dancing, I fell in love with it,” Cameron shared.

Despite the joy and fulfillment it brings him, dancing has come with its challenges for Cameron, especially considering the stereotypical attitudes towards male dancers. He’s faced bullying and judgment, but he chose to stay strong and take it in stride. “I’ve learned not to let others’ opinions define me”, Cameron stated resiliently.

Besides his impressive contest wins, Cameron is also taking his dance success to new horizons as a brand ambassador for a top dancewear company. This opportunity allows him to help reshape the aesthetics and attitudes towards male dancewear in the industry.
