Having wrapped up his time at Apple TV+, Strauss’s role with DC Studios marks his first major project after exiting the tech giant. During his tenure at Apple, he was instrumental in overseeing consumer marketing campaigns, creative advertising, media, and promotions. This dedication to creating buzz for Apple TV+’s original films and services showed his knack for making audiences sit up and take notice.
Peter Safran, co-chief of DC Studios, highlighted the pivotal role marketing plays in the success of films today. Before his time at Apple, Strauss spent over nine years at Disney, where he served as the president of programming and content for Disney+ as well as the president of marketing for The Walt Disney Studios. It’s hard to overlook his contributions to beloved films like *The Jungle Book*, *Cinderella*, *Maleficent*, *Beauty and the Beast*, *Frozen*, *Moana*, and *Incredibles 2*. That’s quite the resume!
Prior to his remarkable journey at Disney, Strauss held the position of president of Participant Media for seven years. There, he oversaw impactful films like *The Help*, *An Inconvenient Truth*, *The Cove*, and *Waiting for Superman*.
