A Redford Township Lady’s Smelly Revenge Over Stray Cats

A friendly neighborhood spat turned smelly when a woman in Redford Township started lobbing poop into her neighbor’s yard. The reason? A years-long feud over feeding stray cats.

Caught on cam by her neighbor, Mark Dellamora, the poop-thrower has been identified as Denise Hardy. The 42-year-old homeowner suspects the poop missiles are Hardy’s way of protesting his family’s habit of feeding stray cats.

According to Hardy, the food and water that was being provided by Dellamora’s family was turning her lush lawn into a feline bathroom. “Those darn cats have turned my yard into a big messy bathroom,” Hardy complained. “So, I thought why not return some of their ‘gifts’?”

Despite numerous confrontations between the two, Dellamora only stopped putting out food for the cats. The water bowl still remains on their porch, which according to Hardy, still attracts the cats. “Just last night I saw a cat sipping water from that bowl,” she grumbled.

Post the stinky incident, Dellamora did contemplate seeking legal help, but concluded that he doesn’t want to waste his time and money on legal proceedings. “I don’t want a poop war, I just want the rain of poop to stop,” stated Dellamora.

Dellamora accepts the importance of a well-maintained yard, commenting, “Their yard is stunning, they take great care of it, but those garbage cans are for their trash, not cat waste. Can’t deny it’s part of home owning though.”

Nonetheless, he doesn’t believe that his water bowl is the main cause of the poop overload. “My yard is pretty neat too, and I rarely find feline feces. But cats are like that, once they mark a spot, they’re just compelled to keep going back,” he further added. In response, Hardy voice frustration at being branded as the bad neighbor.

“I’m a sweet lady, not some mean ogre with anger issues. I’m just done with this cat poop everywhere,” she justified. Hardy has decided a peaceful resolution to the cat chaos – a motion-activated sprinkler system to scare away the cats. And she vows, “I suppose I have to quit with the poop-throwing.”
