Novi Prepares for Annual Pumpkinfest at MSU Tollgate Farm and Education Center

Attention all pumpkin enthusiasts and fall lovers! Novi is getting ready to host its annual Pumpkinfest at the renowned MSU Tollgate Farm and Education Center. This family-friendly event is all set to take place on Saturday, October 5th, and Sunday, October 6th, from 11am to 5pm on both days.

This yearly celebration is packed with a plethora of attractions that are bound to keep both kids and adults entertained. Among the activities are exciting wagon rides, pumpkin picking from the farm’s expansive pumpkin patch, and a peek at the farm animals that make this place their home.

For the tiny explorers, the Mini Corn Maze promises a thrilling adventure, while the fishing zone offers a chance for children to try their hand at this relaxing pastime. The Children’s Play Area, on the other hand, is perfect for letting off steam and making new friends.

Further attractions include the MSU Bug House where curious kids can learn about different insects, a face-painting station, and live entertainment, promising a weekend of unending fun.

Tickets are available for $12 if purchased in advance by September 28th. Otherwise, they can be purchased at the gate for a cost of $15. The entrance to MSU Tollgate Farm on Meadowbrook Road can be accessed solely from 12 Mile Road, just follow the signs through some ongoing road work on northbound Meadowbrook for easy parking and admission.

Apart from the Pumpkinfest, Novi also offers other fun activities worth checking out. For instance, Northwest Park with its unique natural playground and Lakeshore Park, featuring 2 playgrounds and several walking trails. Ella Mae Power Park boasts an accessible playground suited for all abilities, complete with swinging and sliding options, and exciting climbing elements. Lastly, if it’s too cold for outdoor play, there are places like Launch Trampoline Park and iFly Detroit for indoor fun.

The Pumpkinfest at MSU Tollgate Farm is just one of many other family-friendly fall celebrations that festivals enthusiasts can look forward to in Metro-Detroit including events like HalloWeekends, Great Fall Festival, and Macomb County HarvestFest among others.
