National POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony in Novi

Get ready, Novi! A special event is about to take place. The city will be hosting a poignant ceremony to mark this year’s National POW/MIA Recognition Day. The celebration is going down on September 20th, and everyone’s invited to unite in remembrance and honor of those who’ve served and never returned.

The occasion is scheduled for 6 p.m. and it’s going to be held at the enchanting “Michigan Remembers” POW/MIA Memorial located within the serene grounds of the Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens. It’s a wonderful chance to pay respects and express gratitude to the brave servicemen and servicewomen who were captured or went missing while serving our nation.

Regardless of who you are or where you’re from, you’re encouraged to join this heart-tingling event. So why not bring your loved ones, friends, or colleagues? It’s a meaningful way to reflect on the sacrifices made by the brave, who are no longer with us. Let’s stand together in unity and support this noble cause.

The annual National POW/MIA Recognition Day is a crucial part of our collective memory as a nation. Every year, flags are flown all across the country, and ceremonies are held in honor of those who were prisoners of war (POWs) or are still missing in action (MIAs). It’s a day for us all to remember, honor, and resolve never to forget our heroes.

So why watch from home when you can be a part of this worthwhile commemoration? Mark your calendars and prepare your hearts for this memorable event. Let’s come together, Novi, and give this occasion the reverence it deserves.
