Big Heist at Oakland County’s Jewelry Shop
Oakland County, a quiet town in Michigan, is the latest victim of brazen robbers who walked away with valuables worth a whopping $10K from a popular jewelry store. Four suspects are currently being hunted down by the local authorities in connection with the theft.
The audacious theft took place on a regular Saturday afternoon at the established store named Gold Buy and Jewelry Pawn Loans, located near the busy streets of Grand River Avenue and Meadowbrook Road. Authorities informed that the surprising part of this whole incident was the unexpected suspect profile that the robbed store provided.
The first of the culprits were none other than a woman assumed in her 60s and a teenager, who walked nonchalantly into the store to inquire about a ring for her son. In the meantime, two other men, dressed, entered the store and started enquiring about rings as well.
The cunning thieves knew exactly when to strike. With the jeweler busy tending to the initial customers, one of the men leaned over the counter, managed to unlock the jewelry case, and swiped an entire box of 18 rings. At the same time, his accomplice acted swiftly and hid the loot in a satchel style purse. The quartet left the store quietly and unnoticed.
According to the police’s description, the man responsible for the theft is around 6 feet 2 inches tall, medium-built with short black hair, glasses, and a short beard. This man was reportedly dressed in a black long-sleeved shirt and black pants. The other guy who hid the stolen goods in a satchel appeared to be around 5-foot-8 with a thin build, clothed in a white button-down shirt, and black slacks.
