Hans Brinkman, a 53-year-old man from Novi, Michigan who was reported missing from his group home on Saturday, has been found safe and sound.
Brinkman went missing from his residential group home, situated on Jamestowne Road between Novi and Taft roads. He was last seen at his home at around 3:50 PM on the day he disappeared.
Interestingly, it wasn’t locals or a search party who found Brinkman. A Livingston County Sheriff’s Office deputy found him walking along U.S. 23 in Green Oak Township. This was at 11 AM on Sunday, a mere day after he was reported missing. The place he was found is around 17 miles from Novi.
According to details released, the vulnerable adult did not have access to a car, phone, or means to secure money. His discovery therefore was a great relief.
In other news, courts are deliberating on wages and sick time which is causing a stir in the region. Meanwhile, an apple boom has local orchards and cider mills buzzing, promising plenty of fall fun for local families. A potentially tense standoff between a man and Novi police ended tragically when the man took his own life.
For those looking to make a difference environmentally, turning gardens into pollinator havens is becoming a popular movement. Car enthusiasts took to the lanes in a spectacular display of vintage cruisers recently. On a lighter note, local football teams are clashing for top honors in OAA and MAC league standings.
These riveting events keep shaping our community while we keep our eye on improving local parks, libraries, and other public institutions. Always remember, community strength comes from participation and constant vigilance.
