Novi is buzzing with excitement as the Motor City Comic Con gears up for another fantastic year! From November 8-10, the Suburban Collection Showplace will transform into a pop culture paradise, featuring a dazzling array of celebrities and creative minds from the worlds of comics, television, and film. This year, the spotlight will shine brightly on Dave Coulier, the beloved TV star and Macomb County native, among many others.
At 64 years young, Dave Coulier is probably best known as Joey Gladstone from the iconic ABC sitcom, “Full House.” He’s always had a knack for making us laugh, not just through his role on the show, but also as a talented stand-up comedian and voice actor. Let’s not forget his charming voices in popular animated shows; he was the voice of Peter Venkman in The Real Ghostbusters and voiced Animal and Bunsen on Muppet Babies.
Fans of all ages will get a chance to meet Coulier and snag autographs for $50 each. There are also options for selfies, an autograph and selfie combo, and professional photo ops, with prices ranging from $50 to $75. It’s an incredible opportunity for those who grew up watching him on TV or enjoy his humor today.
The Comic Con will feature more than just Coulier. Fans can look forward to seeing a variety of celebrities, including Kiefer Sutherland, famous for his roles in The Lost Boys and 24. Don’t miss John Rhys-Davies, best known as Gimli from The Lord of the Rings series, or Logic, the rapper and record producer who will be in attendance. Also appearing at the event are comedy legend John Cleese, Priscilla Presley, Jim Duggan from the WWE, and Ronee Blakley from Nightmare on Elm Street.
These celebrities will not only be available for autographs and selfies, but some will also participate in panels. Programming is set to offer fans a chance to engage with their favorite stars and dive deeper into their careers.
This year brings something quite special to the Comic Con experience: a brand new event called the MC3 After Hours Party. Hosted at the Hub Stadium in Novi, this lively party will feature food, drinks, music, and even activities like axe throwing and ice curling. For those wanting to keep the fun going after the convention doors close, this is not to be missed!
Tickets are on sale now, with prices starting at $30 for a one-day pass, scaling up to $249 for a VIP package. The event kicks off at noon on Friday, November 8, continuing until 7 PM. Saturday hours are from 10 AM to 7 PM, and on Sunday, the fun wraps up at 5 PM.
If you’re a fan of pop culture, comics, or just looking for a fun weekend filled with activities, the Motor City Comic Con is where you want to be.
