Devastating Car Crash Claims Life in Novi

A 62-year-old bloke from Novi tragically lost his life in a severe car mishap on the 29th of August. The horrific incident took place on Beck Road after the vehicle he was in unexpectedly crossed over to the other side of the road, resulting in a head-on collision with another vehicle.

Emergency services, including police and firefighters, were rushed to the spot around 5:08 p.m. on Thursday. The accident occurred on Beck Road, a little northward of 8 Mile Road.

The local man, identified as Steven Erno, was found lifeless at the scene. He was driving a Ford Fusion towards the north on Beck Road when his car inexplicably crossed over the dividing line causing a head-on collision with a GMC truck coming from the opposite direction. The truck was being driven by a 44-year-old man from Plymouth.

Luckily, the GMC driver managed to walk away from the accident without needing any medical help. At this stage, it doesn’t seem like alcohol or drugs were involved, but officials are awaiting an autopsy report to confirm further details. The incident is still under active investigation.

It’s reported that officials urged everyone to avoid distractions while driving and always keep a check on their speed. They emphasized that it’s important because uncertain situations can emerge anytime on the road.
