Northville Welcomes New Board Members to Living and Learning Enrichment Center

Northville is buzzing with excitement as the Living and Learning Enrichment Center recently announced the appointment of three remarkable individuals to its board of directors: Minoti Rajput, John Avdoulos, and Michael Daranyi. This change is expected to significantly enhance the center’s ability to support individuals with disabilities, paving the way for a brighter future through various therapeutic, social, and work-based experiences.

Strengthening the Mission

Rachelle Vartanian, the founder and president of the Living and Learning Enrichment Center, expressed her enthusiasm about the new additions. She stated, “The addition of Minoti, John, and Michael to our board strengthens our ability to deliver on our mission. With their leadership and support, Living and Learning will continue to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities, offering the therapeutic, social, and work-based experiences that allow our participants to achieve their full potential.”

Minoti Rajput: Financial Planning Specialist

Minoti Rajput comes with an impressive background as a certified financial planner and a chartered special needs consultant. She holds an MBA and has been the founding president of Secure Planning Strategies for nearly 40 years. Her impressive track record includes developing financial and estate plans tailored for affluent professionals, business owners, and retirees.

Rajput specializes in working with families who have special needs members, having counseled over 1,500 families. Her commitment to finding long-term care solutions for these families is genuinely commendable. She is active in the Academy of Special Needs Planning and is a member of the advisory board of FAR Therapeutic Arts and Recreation, an organization focused on helping the special needs population gain independence. Rajput’s extensive experience in planning and caring will undoubtedly benefit the center and its participants.

John Avdoulos: Architectural Visionary

Next up is John Avdoulos, a partner and office director at HKS, a national architectural firm with a local presence in Northville. He is well-recognized in the architectural community and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects. Avdoulos also serves on the Novi City Planning Commission, demonstrating commitment to community planning by currently acting as vice-chair while leading various committees.

His community engagement doesn’t end there; he is the Parish Council president of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church. With three degrees from Lawrence Technological University, including a Master in Architecture, Avdoulos brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role on the board. His vision and skills are sure to contribute positively to the strategic planning at the center.

Michael Daranyi: Financial Executive

Last but certainly not least, we have Michael Daranyi, who serves as the vice president of finance and treasurer for ITC Holdings Corp. His responsibilities encompass treasury and cash management activities, financial planning and analysis, and risk management. Before moving to Michigan in 2017, Daranyi was treasurer on the boards of two nonprofits in Tucson, Arizona, showcasing his dedication to community service.

Daranyi’s advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion stands out. With a multicultural background, he is passionate about celebrating cultural differences and promoting equality. He holds an MBA in finance from Golden Gate University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona.

A Bright Future Ahead

The introductions of Rajput, Avdoulos, and Daranyi to the board of the Living and Learning Enrichment Center reflect a significant commitment to improving services for individuals with disabilities. As they embark on this journey, the community looks forward to seeing the positive changes that will come from this energetic trio of professionals.
