Get ready, doughnut lovers of Northville. The city center is about to become even more delightful, as Peace, Love and Little Donuts plans to open its doors later this year! This hip and retro-inspired doughnut shop plans to set up shop at 345 E. Cady St., a space previously occupied by Mithai and Chai.
Not just your regular doughnut shop, Peace, Love and Little Donuts is recognized for its inventive mini-doughnuts that come in an array of exciting flavors. From the classic yet ever-popular cinnamon sugar-glazed “Groovy” doughnut, the heavenly chocolate-glazed “Far-Out” treat, to the maple bacon “Funkadelic” topped with crunchy bacon bits, there’s definitely something for every taste.
Other must-try flavors include salted caramel macchiato, strawberry shortcake, s’mores, Boston cream pie, and ever colorful sprinkles, among others. Intriguingly innovative options like the magically delicious, raspberry truffle, and chocolate peanut nutter are enough to tempt anyone into breaking their diet!
The decision to bring the much-loved eatery to Northville was taken by a local couple, who first discovered the chain during a family vacation. Such was the hit among their children that mini doughnuts from the shop were a staple at their high school graduation parties.
Unique to this particular location: doughnuts will be made to order right in front of customers, transforming the experience into a sort of “food theater.” The doughnut maker will be prepared to churn out the treats at whatever pace is required, ensuring everyone gets to enjoy a fresh doughnut all day long.
In addition to these bite-sized goodies, Peace, Love and Little Donuts will also provide an array of caffeine-laden drinks and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Gluten-friendly and vegan options will also be available from time to time, based on demand.
The lovely couple who decided to bring this concept to Northville have always been frequent customers of downtown Northville businesses. They believe that Peace, Love and Little Donuts will add a great vibe to the city, especially with the upcoming developments taking place in the area.
Born in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh in 2009, the doughnut chain began to franchise in 2016 and has since expanded to 11 states, with establishments in various parts of Michigan. The exact date for the Northville location’s grand opening is still to be determined, depending on the completion of interior work and other formalities. Updates will be available on Peace, Love and Little Donuts of Northville on Facebook and Twitter @plldnorthville.
