Downtown Northville Welcomes Peace, Love and Little Donuts

Downtown Northville Welcomes Peace, Love and Little Donuts

The heart of Northville is about to become a little more delightful as the scrumptious world of Peace, Love and Little Donuts sets up shop here. The delightful donut store, vibrant in color and retro-inspired, is all set to open its doors in November at the old spot of Mithai and Chai, at 345 E. Cady St.

Famed for their delightful mini-doughnuts, Peace, Love and Little Donuts houses an array of flavors to cater to every sweet tooth out there. Donut enthusiasts can revel in traditionally cherished flavors, as well the creatively tantalizing ones, such as the favorite cinnamon sugar-loaded “Groovy”, chocolate-glazed “Far-Out”, or the maple bacon “Funkadelic” adorned with crispy bacon bits. Other flavors like raspberry truffle, strawberry shortcake, salted caramel machiatto, s’mores, chocolate peanut nutter, to name a few, are bound to make your tastebuds dance with joy.

Sharing the story of how the sweet journey began, the owner shared, “We discovered a Peace, Love and Little Donuts shop during a vacation, and my kids fell head over heels in love with their mini donuts. So much so, we even had these mini donut treats for my elder kid’s graduation party, and our guests simply couldn’t get enough of them!”

Playing witness to the process of making each donut is one of the unique experiences this doughnut shop offers. Commenting, the proud owner called it a sort of “food theater”. Unlike traditional places that bake donuts fresh in the mornings, Peace, Love and Little Donuts’ makers can churn out fresh doughnuts throughout the day, ensuring their customers can enjoy fresh donuts any time they visit.

Another cool feature of the store is their samples that customers can try and decide which variety they prefer or even come up with their own creation. The store will soon also provide gluten-friendly and vegan options, based on popular demand.

Caffeine lovers can rejoice as the store will also feature a variety of coffee concoctions and fresh-squeezed orange juice.

Commenting on this new journey, the owner, who recently retired from a career in finance and project management, said, “We always thought this concept would complement our downtown, especially with the upcoming (Northville) Downs project, and we’re glad we found the right space for it.”

Peace, Love and Little Donuts, which laid its foundation in Pittsburgh in 2009, began franchising in 2016 and presently has shops in 11 states. While they plan to open their Northville location in November, the exact date is still under wraps and will depend upon completion of interior work and obtaining necessary permissions. Brightening up your mornings with mini donuts, Northville is all set to welcome this endearing addition to our delightful downtown. In the end, who can say no to donuts!
