Exciting New Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace Set to Open in Livonia by Late 2025

Exciting New Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace Coming to Livonia!

Livonia residents, get ready for something special! A brand new international marketplace is on its way to Schoolcraft College, and it promises to be a fantastic addition to both the campus and the community. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on November 7th, and construction is officially underway! This hotly-anticipated marketplace is set to open its doors in late 2025, bringing a sprinkle of gourmet goodness to our area.

Where’s This Market Going?

The new Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace will be nestled in the north commuter lot of the Schoolcraft College campus, conveniently located near the Vistatech Center along Haggerty Road. It’s a perfect spot for all the college students and nearby residents to pop in for a quick shopping trip or a leisurely day out. With its prime location, the marketplace is sure to attract food lovers from near and far!

A Taste of Gourmet Goodness

For those who don’t know, Nino Salvaggio’s has been a beloved name when it comes to gourmet foods in the area. They already have locations in Bloomfield Township, Clinton Township, St. Clair Shores, and Troy, and now, Livonia will join the list! At Nino’s, you can expect to find an impressive selection of fresh produce, high-quality meats, delicious baked goods, and stunning flowers.

Just imagine strolling through the aisles, filling your cart with fresh ingredients to whip up a gourmet meal at home. Plus, why not grab a beautiful bouquet to brighten your day? It’s going to be a one-stop shop for all your culinary needs!

Learning and Growing Together

This new market isn’t just about delicious food; it’s also about education! Schoolcraft College plans to use this marketplace as an educational hub. Students enrolled in programs like culinary arts and supply chain management will have the opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience right at their fingertips.

As Glenn Cerny, the college president, put it, “Having a Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace right here on campus will give all of our students real-world experience that will enhance their education.” Talk about learning outside the classroom!

Construction Updates

Now, let’s talk about what’s going on with construction. The marketplace is set to span an impressive 48,100 square feet, giving them plenty of room to showcase their array of gourmet goods. The first phase of construction will involve a new parking lot next to the Vistatech Center, and that is expected to wrap up by December of this year. So keep your eyes peeled as progress continues!

A Family Legacy Continues

Nino Salvaggio’s journey began way back in 1979, thanks to the late Nino Salvaggio himself. Today, his children, Leo Salvaggio and Frank and Andrea Nicolella, are keeping the family legacy going strong by launching this new marketplace. Leo expressed his excitement and commitment to the community by stating, “On behalf of our entire Nino’s family, we are proud to make this significant investment.” What a wonderful way to honor a legacy!

A Warm Welcome Awaits

As the countdown to the grand opening ticks closer, both the college and the Nino Salvaggio family are brimming with enthusiasm. Leo continued, “We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome everyone to our newest store.” If you’re as excited as we are, mark your calendars for 2025—this is one opening you won’t want to miss!

So, Livonia, gear up for a delightful experience at the upcoming Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace. It’s bound to become a favorite spot for students and residents alike!
