Dearborn Heights is buzzing with excitement as a brand new culinary and lounge experience has officially opened its doors! The Gallery, located on Ford Road between Beech Daly and John Daly, is here to tantalize taste buds and provide a cozy space for friends and families to gather.
At the heart of this new venture is Mo Baydoun, the City Council President of Dearborn Heights. Along with his two partners, Baydoun is bringing a fresh and vibrant atmosphere to what was once Lava Lounge—a beloved community spot where he spent years managing. Reflecting on his journey, Baydoun shared, “I always imagined myself owning something on Ford Road between John Daly and Beech Daly. Hamdillah. Praise to be God always.” His passion for the community truly shines through as The Gallery aims to be a place where everyone can come together over delicious food.
The Gallery doesn’t just promise a welcoming ambiance; it delivers with an impressive menu featuring the finest cuisines from two dynamic partners. First up is Sicily’s Pizza, a local favorite since 1989, well known for its unique fermented sourdough bread. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic pepperoni or something a bit more adventurous, they have all halal options that cater to everyone.
And that’s not all! For sushi lovers, Kai Sushi is a must-try. With a world-renowned sushi chef at the helm and 25 years of experience in some of the top sushi spots, the sushi here is crafted with care and precision. “The quality of the sushi speaks for itself,” Baydoun said enthusiastically.
One of the standout features of The Gallery is its beautifully enclosed patio where patrons can enjoy their meals and drinks outside while staying warm thanks to strategically placed heaters. For those who enjoy a smoke, this patio allows for that, providing a comfortable and relaxed environment. Plus, with TVs mounted outside, guests can catch their favorite games while indulging in great food.
The Gallery has already made quite an impression on the local dining scene. In fact, during its first weekend, they served around 600 families, clearly showing the demand for a new culinary experience in the area. Baydoun is dedicated to fostering a sense of community through his restaurant, where everyone, whether a long-time resident or a newcomer, can feel at home.
In a move to pay homage to the past while celebrating the future, Baydoun recognizes how the history of the Lava Lounge shaped him. “This place molded me, and now it’s the location of my own new endeavor,” he said, reflecting on how The Gallery is a full circle moment for him.
With talented builders, including Gus Baydoun, also known as “Ace The Builder,” behind the stunning design, The Gallery is more than just a restaurant; it’s a feast for the eyes and the palate. “He has an eye for great art,” Baydoun praised while discussing the overall aesthetic of his new endeavor.
If you’re in Dearborn Heights and searching for a new spot to enjoy a meal or unwind with friends, check out The Gallery! It promises to be a place filled with good vibes, delicious food, and the warm embrace of community. Whether it’s a night out or a family dinner, you’ll discover something special waiting for you at this new culinary hotspot on Ford Road!
