Canton’s New Apartment Complex Springs at Willow Creek Set to Transform Housing Landscape

Canton Welcomes New Apartment Complex: Springs at Willow Creek

Exciting changes are in the air for the residents of Canton, as early site work has kicked off for a shiny new apartment complex known as Springs at Willow Creek. Spanning across 40 acres and located on the east side of Lotz Road, wedged nicely between Ford and Cherry Hill roads, this project is set to transform the landscape and housing options in the area.

A New Community Awaits

The developers, Continental Properties, are a national name that focuses on creating multi-family communities. Their vision for Springs at Willow Creek includes a total of 280 units, neatly packaged into 14 two-story townhome buildings. Each building will house 20 apartments, featuring all types of living arrangements from cozy studios to spacious three-bedroom units. Notably, each apartment will come with private ground-level entrances and the option of attached garages, making it feel more like a home and less like just another apartment building.

Leasing and Living

If you’re curious about making this new community your home, mark your calendars! Pre-leasing is set to begin in the summer of 2025. This will be your chance to explore the property, check out the stunning apartment finishes, and find the perfect layout for your lifestyle. Residents can start moving in during the fall of 2025, right around the time the community clubhouse and the first building are completed.

Monthly rents for these new apartments will range from $1,440 to $2,600. Heather Riggs, the vice president of multifamily operations at Continental Properties, emphasizes that future residents will enjoy a resort-style living experience. The planned amenities sound absolutely enticing, including a 24-hour fitness center, a modern clubhouse where you can unwind, and even two pet playgrounds— perfect for those furry family members!

The Attention to Detail

One of the standout features of Springs at Willow Creek will be the gated entrance, which adds a layer of security and exclusivity. The property will also be surrounded by decorative fencing, exuding a charming neighborhood feel. It’s clear that the developers have really thought through everything to create a welcoming space that suits modern living.

It’s worth noting that this site isn’t entirely new to development plans. In fact, it was first rezoned for residential use back in 2016. Various proposals, including condominiums and apartments, were reviewed in 2018 but never came to fruition. However, with the increasing demand for quality housing in the Detroit metro area, Springs at Willow Creek is finally here to meet that rising need. Erik Hahn, vice president of acquisitions at Continental, shares his enthusiasm, stating that the community will provide thoughtfully designed living spaces while ensuring convenient access to nearby amenities, including great schools and shopping options.

The Road Ahead

With approvals from the Canton Township Planning Commission and the Canton Township Board of Trustees finally in place as of April, everything is now moving full steam ahead. This new complex promises not only to enhance housing availability in Canton but also to contribute to the neighborhood’s overall charm and livability.

Residents of Canton should get ready to welcome this new vibrant community. If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort and modern conveniences, Springs at Willow Creek could soon be at the top of your list. The developers are clearly investing in creating a warm, engaging environment for everyone, which might just make it one of the best places to live in Canton once it opens its doors.
