Hey there, comic fans and pop culture aficionados! If you’re in or around Novi, Michigan, you’re in for a real treat this weekend! The 2024 Motor City Comic Con kicks off today, November 8, and continues through Sunday, November 10. Get ready to immerse yourself in a world filled with superheroes, villains, and everything in between!
This year’s comic con is taking over the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, turning it into a playground for comic lovers, cosplayers, and fans of all ages. Opening its doors today at 12 p.m., the convention will run until 7 p.m.. On Saturday, the fun starts earlier at 10 a.m. and wraps up at 7 p.m., while Sunday also begins at 10 a.m. but ends a bit earlier, at 5 p.m..
This year, attendees will get a chance to meet some big names in the industry! Ron Perlman, the legendary actor known for his role as Hellboy and Clay Morrow in Sons of Anarchy, will be gracing the convention with his presence. If you’ve ever wanted to ask him about his experiences, now’s your chance! Additionally, comic book writer Meredith Finch, known for her work on iconic characters like Wonder Woman and Catwoman, will also be attending. It’s a fantastic opportunity for aspiring creators and fans alike!
Now, let’s talk tickets. Admission prices vary by day, so make sure to check out what works best for you:
Keep in mind, VIP tickets are limited, and once they’re gone, they’re gone! So, if you want that special experience, grab your tickets online before heading to the venue. And just a little heads-up, additional processing fees will apply.
If you’re planning a family outing, children aged 6-12 can join in on the fun too. Remember, parking at the venue is $10 per vehicle and is cash only, which allows you in-and-out privileges throughout the day. So, no need to worry about getting stuck!
Thinking of bringing a bag? Good news! Bags and backpacks are allowed at the venue but will be subject to a bag check by the dedicated staff and security. Better safe than sorry!
To ensure everyone has a chance to enjoy the convention, there will be limited wheelchairs and scooters available for free on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, they can’t be reserved in advance, so get there early if you need one!
Finally, the Motor City Comic Con has put various safety measures in place to ensure everyone has a worry-free experience. It’s always a great idea to familiarize yourself with their policies before heading in.
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your friends, throw on your favorite superhero costume, and head over to the Motor City Comic Con! It’s the perfect opportunity to geek out, meet your favorite stars, and discover the latest in the world of comics. Enjoy the weekend!
