With over 220 vendors and anticipated attendance surpassing 43,000, this year’s show promises an exciting experience for golf lovers. New management by McKenzie Bowman aims to revitalize the event, featuring contests, shopping opportunities, and special events like Ladies Day. Attendees can look forward to golf gear, expert instruction, and a commitment to charity, making this year’s show a must-attend event for the golf community.
Mark your calendars, golf lovers! The Michigan Golf Show is making its grand return to Novi, running from March 7-9 this year at the fantastic Suburban Collection Showplace. Fans of the sport were left disappointed when the event was canceled in 2021, but it’s back and better than ever, boasting record vendor participation and high attendance expectations!
This year, expect to see more than 220 vendors filling up an impressive 350,000 square feet of exhibit space! We’re talking about a massive showcase that promises to have something for every golf enthusiast. Anticipation is in the air, with planned attendance projected to outstrip last year’s record of 43,000 attendees. Can you imagine being amongst that excited crowd?
The previous event brought about $5 million in retail activity over its three-day run. This means that not only will you discover the latest golf gear, but you’ll also have opportunities to win big! Featured competitions include a thrilling $25,000 hole-in-one contest and a $10,000 putting challenge. What a fun way to test your skills on the green!
Now here’s an interesting family story. The Michigan Golf Show was founded back in 1994 by Blair Bowman, who has handed the ropes over to his daughter, McKenzie Bowman. McKenzie is stepping into the management role with fresh ideas to enhance this beloved event. Golf fans are in for an exciting treat as the show is sure to reflect her vision and passion for the sport!
This year’s lineup of exhibitors is sure to impress, with at least 350 exhibitors participating, including 40 first-time participants. What’s even more exciting is that around 30% of these vendors hail from outside of Michigan. With such a diverse range of exhibitors, attendees can look forward to a unique blend of products and services!
Keep your eye out for Ladies Day on Sunday, where women can enjoy free admission between 10 a.m. and noon! It’s a perfect chance to introduce more women to the incredible game of golf. Plus, there will be free professional instruction sessions, an engaging seminar by LPGA Hall of Famer Kay McMahon, and participation from the Michigan Women’s Golf Association. Talk about a wealth of knowledge!
The golf show is the place for fantastic shopping opportunities. From golf equipment and the latest apparel to exciting trip packages, you’ll find it all at your fingertips. In addition to shopping, enjoy instruction sessions and interactive games that will further enhance your golf experience.
Organizers have also committed to charity, with a portion of the proceeds from the show going to various worthy causes. Last year’s contests contributed to these charitable endeavors, emphasizing the show’s commitment to giving back to the community.
The Michigan Golf Show has become a vital revenue generator for the Bowman family’s convention center operations, along with other events such as the State Fair and Motor City Comic Con. Its booming growth is a reflection of a revitalizing golf industry and increasing interest from exhibitors as economic conditions improve.
So, whether you’re a seasoned pro or just looking to have some fun, the Michigan Golf Show promises excitement, learning, and a fantastic experience! Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to connect with fellow golf enthusiasts and make the most of your time on and off the course!
