He saw what looked like suspects trying to break into his home on Equestrian Trail, which is nestled near the intersection of Eight Mile and Beck roads. While patrolling the area, officers spotted a suspicious white van with out-of-state plates speeding away from the scene. An attempted traffic stop quickly escalated into a short police chase. Although the driver eventually pulled over, four people jumped out and took off running! Ultimately, officers managed to apprehend one suspect but the remaining three escaped into the night.
