Dining in Farmington Hills: Recent Restaurant Inspections Reveal Food Violations

Attention, Farmington Hills diners! You might want to know what’s been going on behind the kitchen doors of some of your favorite restaurants. Several food violations have been reported between April and August, according to inspection reports from the Oakland County Health Department. But don’t panic just yet – many of these issues have already been resolved.

One of the spots that received a fair bit of inspection attention is Pars Restaurant. Health inspectors discovered a slew of issues, from expired yogurts and spoiled tomatoes to raw meats dangerously stored above ready-to-eat items. Uh oh, doesn’t sound too appetizing! On the brighter side, Pars Restaurant is working to make improvements – hopefully including better food storage!

What About Craft Brew City and Damas Syrian Cuisine?

Same story, different address. Craft Brew City had its fair share of violations, too. From faulty thermometer to sauces stored way beyond the acceptable time limit, it seems like they’ve got a bit to work on. Don’t despair though, Craft Brew City fans! Violations like these are correctable.

Damas Syrian Cuisine also made it onto the health department’s radar. Apart from finding chlorine-less dish machines and bits of cross-contamination in food storage, inspectors came across cleaning materials stored carelessly near food. Not the best place for your Windex, folks!

India Flavors and Mulligan’s Pub & Grub also Under the Scanner

Next stop was India Flavors where cross-contamination struck again. Add to that some uncalibrated sanitizers, and food left out overnight, this place seriously needs to tighten their food safety game. Don’t let your senses be fooled by their exotic spices!

Mulligan’s Pub & Grub, a fan-favorite, was last but not least on this list. Mislabelled food items, lack of date marking, and raw eggs stored in a box of relish packets – this place also got its meal of violations.

But remember, all is not lost! These restaurants are taking the necessary steps to fix these problems and elevate their food safety practices. The aim isn’t to scare you off your favorite dining spots, but to keep you informed. Bon appetit!
