FARMINGTON HILLS – The vibrant city of Farmington Hills is buzzing with excitement as the Farbman Group has officially moved into its brand-new headquarters. This full-service real estate firm, which was previously based in Southfield, has chosen a stunning space designed by the iconic architect Minoru Yamasaki. The new office is located at 31700 Middlebelt Road, just a hop, skip, and a jump from Northwestern Highway.
For the first time in a decade, the Farbman Group is reuniting with its family-owned enterprises, all of which call the second floor of the building home. Founded in 1976 by the late Burton Farbman, the company has brought together its various arms, including Huntington Construction, Apex Mechanical Solutions, NAI Farbman, Huntington Maintenance, Campusville, and Carbon TV. This reunion is a momentous occasion that holds deep significance for the Farbman family.
The first floor features a health-focused company named Healthrise, which is run by CEO David Farbman. What’s more, there are several private tenants in the building, including the remarkable nonprofit Beyond Basics, dedicated to improving literacy rates for students.
Brought into existence in 1987, this Class A building packs a punch with a whopping 40,000 square feet of space spread over two stories. Ample parking, both surface and below ground, as well as an array of beautiful trees and landscaping treatments surround the property. Inside, employees and clients will delight in 10-foot-high ceilings, two large kitchens, and a plethora of modern amenities.
CEO Andrew V. Farbman expressed his enthusiasm for the move, saying, “Given our specialty serving a wide range of commercial clients, we wanted to practice what we preach by investing in our people, which meant investing in a new headquarters to accommodate all of our employees.” The strategic location along Northwestern between 12 Mile Road and Orchard Lake Road was no easy find, but the new building not only fits current needs but also allows for room to grow.
During a tour of the new headquarters, it was clear that the space is designed for collaboration and innovation. The building boasts top-notch technology and several cozy lounges. One of the most exciting areas is the dedicated team meeting space within Healthrise, which features tiered seating and a state-of-the-art presentation area.
For those looking to unwind, the facility doesn’t disappoint: there’s even a gaming room complete with a golf simulator, ping pong table, and an array of amusement games. “At Healthrise, culture is a massive piece of our business,” shared David Farbman, adding that they wanted the new space to feel like home, especially when teams from across the country gather together.
Andy Gutman, the company’s president, shared that the new headquarters is home to around 100 employees, with a similar number working on-site across 23 additional facilities in the Midwest. Overall, the Farbman Group is a one-stop solution, handling everything from real estate transactions to property management, leasing, construction, and beyond.
As Farbman Group places its roots in Farmington Hills, there’s a sense of excitement and anticipation in the air for what’s to come for both employees and clients alike. It certainly looks like this new headquarters is ready to foster connections and propel growth for the years ahead!
