Doctor in Rochester Faces serious Charges for Videoing People in the Nude
In Rochester Hills, a troubling case is unfolding. Dr. Oumair Aejaz is facing charges for secretly recording images of five adults and children in a state of undress. Law enforcement warns that the number of victims could be in the hundreds, potentially outstripping the number of victims abused by disgraced Michigan State University sports doctor, Larry Nassar.
Aged 40, Dr. Aejaz allegedly used hidden cameras in various locations such as changing rooms and bathrooms to capture images of people without their clothes on. The shocking discovery of thousands of videos in his home took the authorities six years, and the scope of his alleged offenses is yet to be fully comprehended.
“This is so much the tip of the iceberg,” warned Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard. “The victimization is broad and the perversion so great that it’s disturbing on many levels.”
The doctor was arrested on August 8, with charges filed against him on August 13. The charges relate to crimes that supposedly occurred between 2020 and 2023, including producing child sexually abusive activity, five counts of using computers to commit a crime, and four counts of capturing images of an unclothed person.
If found guilty, Dr. Aejaz would face severe penalties, including a potentially lengthy prison sentence. His attorney was unavailable for comment.
The Origins of the Case
The case began when a mother with her young children at Goldfish Swim School in Rochester Hills discovered that Dr. Aejaz allegedly recorded them as they were changing clothes.
Currently, Dr. Aejaz is in the Oakland County Jail, with a $2 million bail set.
According to county Prosecutor Karen McDonald, Aejaz appears to have preyed on individuals across different social groups. There were instances where he violated victims in hospital settings, while others were seemingly random.

Doctor Aejaz, who is an Indian citizen, has been working in the United States since 2011 under a visa. He obtained his educational medical license in Michigan, which expired in 2015, and relicensed in 2018. He is currently an internal medicine doctor with no known public disciplinary actions. While he had privileges at certain hospitals, steps have been taken to prevent him from practicing in those facilities.
Continuing Investigations
The investigation is ongoing, with law enforcement currently examining six computers, four cellphones, and 15 external storage devices. The video evidence indicate that Dr. Aejaz didn’t just record his victims – he physically violated them too.
The case bears similarities with Larry Nassar’s, who sexually abused hundreds under the cover of serving as a medical professional. However, officials note that Aejaz’s scope is much more random and not bound by any specific type of victimization.
