The latest gem to hit downtown is none other than Bell Bistro, a brand new restaurant that has just opened its doors at 185 N. Old Woodward Ave. in the former Mad Hatter location. It’s time to gather your friends and family and indulge in some mouth-watering dishes!
Bell Bistro is all about variety, featuring a menu designed to please every palate. Start your meal off right with some tantalizing Wagyu Meatball starters, before diving into classics like Rigatoni Alla Gricia and Steak Frites. Not in the mood for pasta? No problem! The menu also boasts delicious options like Langos and the ever-popular Bell Smash Burger. With so many choices, you’re bound to find something you love!
This snazzy 3,000 square foot restaurant is beautifully designed by Bowers + Associates, based in Ann Arbor. It offers cozy seating for 36 guests in the main dining room, an additional 30 seats on the lower level, and even a private section for up to 30 people. Whether you’re planning a small gathering or a special celebration, Bell Bistro has the perfect spot for you.
At the helm of the kitchen is Chef Gabriel Botezan, an impressive Le Cordon Bleu-certified chef with years of experience in the metro Detroit restaurant scene. Not only does he cook at Adelina in downtown Detroit, but he also works alongside renowned chef Marco Dalla Fontana. Talk about an all-star chef lineup!
But wait, there’s more! The dessert menu is in the capable hands of Chef Botezan’s wife, Gabriela Botezan, who serves as the pastry chef at Adelina. Guests will be delighted to see desserts like Pапanași, Parliament Walnut Cake, Olive Oil Cake Bar, and a scrumptious Raspberry Chocolate Tart. It’s the perfect way to finish off any meal!
What’s a great meal without a fine drink? Bell Bistro has a charming bar featuring a selection of curated craft cocktails, mocktails, local beers, and fine wines. Get ready to sip on delightful cocktails such as the Bellerina, The Belfry, Verdita, and the cozy Mulled Over. These drinks are sure to become new favorites!
Principal of Cicero Hospitality Group, Martin Pakideh, shared, “Bell Bistro reflects our team’s vision to bring another unique dining experience to metro Detroit. Downtown Birmingham has always been a top dining destination, and we are proud to be part of this vibrant community.”
Excited to check it out? Bell Bistro is open from Tuesday to Thursday from 4 PM to 10 PM, while you can enjoy Friday and Saturday dining from 4 PM to 11 PM, with the bar staying open until midnight. Don’t forget about leisurely Sundays from 4 PM to 10 PM—because, let’s be honest, Sundays are all about relaxing and enjoying good food.
