36-Year-Old Woman Arrested for String of Armed Robberies

In West Bloomfield, Michigan, a 36-year-old woman has been charged with multiple felonies following a several armed robberies that occurred within a few hours of each other. The woman, identified as Kathryn Omalley Malczynski, is reportedly from this same town and now faces over a dozen charges.

Robberies at Different Locations

Police alerts in the area indicated a series of robberies committed at gunpoint in three different stores around Oakland County. The first notification came around 9 p.m. on September 4, after an employee at the Twin Beach Market on Green Lake Road dialed 911 to report an armed robbery conducted by a female assailant. The subject threatened the worker with a pistol, robbing him of his cash before fleeing the scene.

Additional notifications indicated two more armed robberies shortly after. These crimes happened in Orchard Lake and another in West Bloomfield. One of these crimes occurred in a CVS pharmacy where witnesses reported hearing at least two gunshots fired by the suspect.

Arrest and Charges

Law enforcement officials managed to pick up the suspect in the CVS pharmacy’s parking lot where she was promptly taken into custody. Omalley Malczynski has since been charged with a total of seven counts of armed robbery, eight counts of felony firearm, one count of discharging a weapon in a building, and one count of carrying a concealed weapon. Her bond has been set at $75,000 and she currently remains in custody at the Oakland County Jail.
