According to the latest announcement from the Wixom Downtown Development Authority (DDA), they expect attendance to smash last year’s record of over 5,500 visitors. That’s right – more friends, family, and neighbors are gearing up to join in on the festivities!

There’s something for everyone at this year’s Block Party! Kids can look forward to a special appearance by Bluey and Bingo, who are sure to add an extra layer of magic to the day. In addition, families can enjoy the hilarious antics of Crazy Craig Family Comedy and have a blast at the Level Up Wit Jay video game truck. Talk about a great way to keep everyone entertained!

For music enthusiasts, the Block Party will feature live bands playing a variety of genres throughout the event. The highlight of the evening will be a performance by the Mega 80’s, set to take the stage from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. “Ladies tease up your hair, get your neon on, guys don’t forget about those parachute pants, and get ready to dance in the street,” the DDA urged. Sounds like it’s going to be a nostalgic trip back to the 80s!

In preparation for the festivities, Pontiac Trail will be closed to make way for this lively celebration. Attendees are advised to use the detour route of Wixom to Old Wixom and then back onto Pontiac Trail, or vice versa.
