An Oakland County Lady Hits the Jackpot Winning $1M on an Instant Lottery Ticket
A 40-year-old lady from Oakland County, Michigan is busy celebrating a significant windfall. Yes, you heard it right! She won a whopping $1 million on a Hamilton instant lottery ticket.
“My husband and I love playing instant tickets,” the woman shared with excitement. “We scratched off our Hamilton ticket and to our shock, we won $1 million. We could hardly believe our eyes. We always hoped for a big win someday, and it’s like a dream that it really happened!”
The instant lottery ticket was bought by the woman from Oakland county in Michigan at a Meijer gas station located at 1703 Haggerty, Commerce Township.
She opted to receive her million-dollar prize as a lump sum, which after deductions approximately came up to $693,000, instead of opting for staggered annuity payments that would total the entire amount.
When asked about her plans on using the newfound treasure, the jubilant winner says she intends to buy a new car with a chunk of it and stash away the rest of the money for the future.
In addition to this lucky lady, another lucky guy from Fenton recently hit the jackpot and will be receiving $25,000 a year for life on his Michigan Lottery ticket. Furthermore, another man from Grand Rapids became a millionaire overnight with his Powerball ticket purchased in Kentwood, who also bagged $1 million.
