Farmington Hills, Michigan
A local guy from Oakland County is over-the-moon after netting a cool sum of $2 million from a scratch-off lottery ticket. This 54-year-old, who has chosen to stay anonymous, couldn’t believe his eyes as he revealed the sum on his Jackson instant ticket, just imagine the feeling!
It was no solo win either, as he had enlisted his friend’s help to buy the ticket. Our lucky winner had a habit of entrusting his buddy with some cash to purchase lottery tickets on his behalf. Turns out, this friendly transaction pulled off as the buddy happened to pick the golden ticket from Orchard Market Place, located at 31511 West 13 Mile Road in Farmington Hills. Can you believe it?
“When I saw I won $2 million, my jaw hit the floor and stayed there! I was in total awe, and honestly, I still am! I can’t begin to explain the feeling of winning this amount of money”, said the winner.
He’s chosen to stay hush, only sharing the event with his lottery friend. But he’s planning to unveil the gigantic check to his family in surprise soon. The shock on their faces will be priceless to watch.
The Jackson instant game, the winning scratch-off ticket, came as part of the currency family of games that were introduced in May. The Lottery Commissioner, Suzanna Shkreli, expressed her excitement by saying, “When players score jaw-dropping wins like this $2 million prize it’s an unforgettable experience”.
Upon claiming his prize, our winner opted for a one-time lump sum payment. So instead of claiming the entire $2million over several annuity payments, he took home $1.3 million in one go. And what does he plan to do with his new fortune? *Invest and save* for his children’s college funds, as a loving father would.
Looks like fate shook hands and brought luck to an Oakland County man. Always exciting to see ordinary people win big, don’t you think?
