In a move that promises to shake things up in our beloved city of Farmington Hills, Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum is getting ready to bid farewell to Hunter’s Square and say a big, enthusiastic HELLO to a brand-new, much larger space at Orchard Mall in West Bloomfield Township. Yes, you heard that right! Starting in 2025, the museum will be relocating to a brighter, bigger stage, and we can’t wait to hear what’s in store.

Here’s the scoop: The Farmington Hills City Council has recently approved a colossal $50-$70 million redevelopment project for Hunter’s Square. You guessed it—the building that’s home to Marvin’s is set to be demolished to make way for a shiny new Meijer and a host of other shops. With the council voting to greenlight demolition in February 2024, it became clear to Marvin’s owner, Jeremy Yagoda, that it was time to find a new home for his incredible collection of coin-operated arcade games and other vintage treasures.

So, where’s the new digs, you ask? Look no further than the Orchard Mall on Orchard Lake Road! And here’s the really exciting part: Marvin’s is expanding its size from a modest 5,000 square feet to a whopping 14,000 square feet! That’s almost TRIPLE the space to explore and enjoy.
